Hello there,
My first camera was a hand-me-down 35mm, and I still remember the summer camp darkroom where I took my first photography class at 11. From there, it stuck. I joined my high school photography club, took college courses, and spent late nights learning the rhythm of film and print. Even now, I still shoot and develop my own film—there’s something grounding about it: intentional, tactile, and honest.
Photography has always been with me, but I found a deeper purpose through life experience. I’m a combat veteran who’s worked in politics and led community movements. Over time, the camera became more than a creative outlet—it became a tool to document truth, tell stories that matter, and connect people to something real. I shoot with a deep sense of duty: to bear witness, to tell the truth, and to show the world as it is—not as we wish it to be.
I’ve traveled to every continent, trekking through the Himalayas toward Everest Base Camp and witnessing the raw edges of the world in Antarctica. My work lives at the intersection of documentary and art—capturing movements, landscapes shaped by time, and people who just want to be seen as they are.
I work with both film and digital, choosing the format and film stock that best serves the story. My gear includes full-frame digital bodies, 35mm cameras, and a medium format system, with lenses ranging from 17mm to 400mm to ensure I get the moment—intuitively, deliberately, and with care.
